Explore Indonesia
With thousands of islands, stretching from Malaysia to Papa New Guinea, Indonesia is home to hundreds of vibrant cultures waiting to be explored.
The most famous of these islands is Bali, and with its rolling waves and golden sandy beaches, it is little wonder why it’s deemed to be a surfer’s paradise. But despite its reputation for beautiful beaches, there is so much more to be discovered. You can jump off one of the island’s stunning waterfalls, raft through whitewater rapids on the Ayung River, mountain bike through heart-pumping jungle trails and even feed bananas to monkeys in Ubud’s jungle.

MOUNTAIN CLIMBING AND JUNGLE TREKKING
As much as we love Bali, Indonesia has so much more to offer if you are looking for something different. Lombok is a great option, only a short boat ride away and off the beaten track. Climb Mount Rinjani and experience the magical, golden sunrise as it reflects off the lake that lies within the volcano’s crater, high above the clouds. Dip your toes into the warm, sea waters while devouring a sizzling Nasi Goreng as you watch the sun sink into the horizon. With thriving, tropical jungles and pink-sand beaches, journey around this quiet, untouched island to see the real Indonesia.
Of course, there are another few thousand islands to explore! And we know some of them. The island of Sumba is completely untouched by tourists and therefore one of the best diving spots in the world. Here you can go on an underwater journey of discovery, finding vibrant reefs teeming with colourful fish. Visit the sparsely populated island of Samatra where, thanks to its formidable jungle, it is one of the last remaining places in the world where you can still see wild orangutans. Or journey across Java, the largest island in Indonesia, dominated by towering mountain landscapes where you will find the world’s largest Buddhist temple.

Each island has its own unique, charming character, indigenous people and local traditions, making Indonesia one of the most diverse lands to explore. From mountain tops to coral reefs, white water rafting to sunset yoga lessons on the beach, Indonesia will leave you with memories you will never forget.
