Stretching from the sunny beaches of California to the Windy City of Chicago in the north, the 2,500-mile road crosses 8 states and 3 time zones. Motoring this highway is probably one of the most iconic road trips in the world and we can help you find some of the lesser-visited sights.

  

Best of California and Vegas

This classic road trip along Highway 1 will take you down the sunny, Californian coastline. From San Francisco, take a trip across the Golden Gate Bridge into the Muir Woods and wander through the giant redwoods. Continuing south, explore the famous streets of LA and have a dip in one of the surfing hotspots. Drive through Mojave National Preserve and finish your adventure in the entertainment capital of the world, Las Vegas.

  

Sound of the South

If music is your jam, head to the southern states and experience live country, blues, jazz and soul music flowing out of every bar. Visit Music Row in Nashville, discover the birthplace of Blues in Memphis, feel the spirit of the Old South in New Orleans and take a ride onboard a paddlewheel steamboat on the Mississippi. As well absorbing yourself in the endless music, take time to visit the Gulf Coast in the north of Florida, with its stunningly beautiful, white sand beaches, offering the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunshine.
